King and Queen Acorn of the Acorn Kingdom are assassinated by special assassin droids built by Robotnik. Princess Sally Acorn, 16, is knighted Queen. She wastes many resources trying to attack Robotropolis and is pushed back every time.

Queen Sally stops her direct attacks on Robotropolis and begins listening to advisors. Bunny Rabbot is put in charge of the Frontier Program, a plan to aggressively expand north to take territory and build alliances and resources. Antoine D'Coolette is put in charge of all military for the Kingdom and local security. Through a spy Robotnik learns of the Frontier Program and begins planning his own northern expansion.

Robotropolis and the Acorn Kingdom race to colonize The Northern Lands. This expansion is unofficially separated by the lines of The Great Forest and The Endless Desert. Robotnik colonizes the desert land and the Badlands, with harsh conditions but plenty of natural resources in the way of oil and natural metals. The Acorn Kingdom expands to the reaches of The Great Forest and through The Great Plains, rich with wood, fruit, and game.

In an effort to counter Robotnik's flying mechanical technology Acorn Kingdom starts the Lightning Wing project, recruiting flying Mobians for defense and colony resupply runs.
# 3242 December
Robotnik devises a new plan to use the Chaos Emeralds to create a warp gate that will teleport Sonic and his friends into the darkness of space, allowing him to conquer Acorn Kingdom and take their lands. While constructing the device he "accidentally reveals" plans of building a giant laser to Sonic's crew and Tails obtains a copy. Tails begins working on personal shields that can protect them from a blast.
In an effort to distract Knuckles Robotnik finds a disguise artist named Koby to disguise himself as an echidna, confuse Knuckles, and help Robotnik steal the emeralds. Robotnik hides the true purpose of what he's going to use the emeralds for. Koby disguises himself as Strike the Echidna and helps Robotnik recover six of the chaos emeralds. Sonic, Amy, Tails, Sticks, and Knuckles end up being able to save one.
# 3243 September: The Opening
Robotnik uses Warp Drive powered by six chaos emeralds in research laboratory in Robotropolis. Tails uses a disruptor ray powered by the seventh chaos emerald in an attempt to destroy the Warp Drive. Instead of disrupting the drive, the power of the ray superpowers the Warp Drive and it opens a rift into The Outer Void, home of The Black Goat.
The Eye of The Black Goat opens and begins closing in on the rift. Tentacles sprout from the rift and start embedding themselves into the research lab. They grab Robotnik and drag him into the portal. While Sonic, Amy, and Sticks try to cut away the tentacles Tails fires at the chaos emeralds and attempts to shut down the Warp Drive. He's able to loosen two of the emeralds before Sonic is grabbed by a tentacle and begins getting pulled through the rift, his head actually making it through. Amy, Sticks, and Tails all work together to pull Sonic out and are forced to flee. On the way out Tails is able to shoot one more emerald, bringing the Warp Drive power down to three. After shooting the third emerald a tentacle whips out and grabs his gun, pulling it and the chaos emerald that powers it into the void.
As Tails knocks the three emeralds from the machine they scatter to unknown locations. Sticks and Tails pull Amy and Sonic out of the building and head outside the city. On the way out they're attacked and Knuckles is separated by an explosion. Tails and Sticks quickly load up Amy and Sonic in a small truck and race out of the city.
Later that day a force field comes up that surrounds the entire city, a feat previously thought impossible. Attempts to communicate are met with silence and attempts to breach the force field are met with failure.
# 3243 October
Reports pick up that Robotropolis citizens that leave the force field are extremely aggressive and have been seen dragging people back to the city, both alive and dead. Desert settlers have no contact with the city and are being attacked just as frequently as the Acorn Kingdom and Plains settlers.
Sally gives Tails laboratory space in the basement part of the castle to construct a stasis tank for Sonic/Amy and to keep a lab for research into the force field around Robotropolis.
Violet and her brother Zest find an opening into Robotropolis through a gap in the force field. Once inside the desolate city they were both captured and raped for several days before being infested by the brood. Violet and her brother resisted the infestation, but Violet was worse off overall. Her brother amputated her infected limbs and used the roboticizing tools in the city to graft a new arm and a new leg onto his sister. Unable to do the same to himself without her help, he carried her back to their settlement in the Badlands.
Once there, the infestation inside of him takes over and he infests the settlement. Regaining control, he distracts the new brood and runs them into the desert. Unable to lose them, he finds a suitable place to die and writes a letter to his sister explaining what happened and apologizes for failing her. Stashing the journal in a smaller shack that he hopes someone will find some day, he leads the stalkers into a sturdy building and sets it on fire, sacrificing himself to kill the monsters he created.
Violet wakes up to an empty settlement, part Mobian, part machine, part brood. She follows the tracks in the sand which lead her to the burned down building with her brother's charred body inside the building. Mistaking the mix of citizens from both Robotropolis and Acorn Kingdom that are also in the building, she vows revenge for their petty wars that have taken her brother from her. Using the connection she has with The Black Goat she locates a group of stalkers and goes to them, praying to The Black Goat and her brood for power to avenge her brother and pledging loyalty if granted that power. She participates in a ritualistic orgy with the stalkers and her mind is fully corrupted. Over the next few months she works separately from the brood, serving The Black Goat as a hybrid creature that retains her ability to walk among the uncorrupted.
# 3243 December
Amy wakes up. She’s been driven mad by her experience with The Black Goat and seeing Sonic’s mind ripped away. She’s put under care of the royal doctor but makes no progress in her mental state. Her agitation progresses and she is put into a strait jacket to prevent harming herself.
Tails finishes the status tank for Sonic and Sonic’s body is moved into the status tank.
# 3244 January
Amy is released into the care of Tails since she seems to be less agitated around him, and her behavior creeps out the medical staff. Shortly after The Black Goat possesses Amy and demands an offering. Tails refuses at first but The Black Goat forces Any to hurt herself until Tails complies. It becomes a weekly event.
